Education

Rasna holds an impressive academic background in law, having earned both her Bachelor of Laws (LLB Honours) and Master of Laws (LLM) with high academic distinction from Bangladesh. Furthering her legal education internationally, she completed a second Master of Laws (LLM) in Canadian Common Law at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, one of Canada’s most prestigious law schools. In addition to her formal degrees, Rasna has also completed a specialized Certificate Program in Family Law Skills and Practice from Osgoode Professional Development, equipping her with in-depth knowledge and practical skills in the field of family law.

Experience

Rasna brings over five years of dedicated legal experience in the field of family law from her practice in Bangladesh, where she advised and represented clients on a wide range of matters. Building on her international legal background, she transitioned to the Canadian legal system and successfully completed all components of the Law Society of Ontario’s licensing process. This includes the Law Practice Program (LPP) at Toronto Metropolitan University, where she gained hands-on experience during her work placements at two respected firms specializing in family law.

In addition to working at Mahin Law, Rasna continues to contribute meaningfully to the legal community through her volunteer work as a lawyer at Luke’s Place, a non-profit organization that supports women navigating the family law system, particularly those facing intimate partner violence.

Outside of her legal practice, Rasna is a devoted wife who finds joy and fulfillment in spending quality time with her family. A passionate amateur chef, she loves preparing meals for her husband and experimenting with new recipes. Her love for culinary exploration is matched by her enthusiasm for discovering new restaurants and enjoying local and cultural adventures.

In addition to her love of food and travel, Rasna is also a trained singer, and music remains a cherished part of her personal life. Whether at home or on the road, she embraces creativity, connection, curiosity, and qualities that enrich both her personal and professional worlds.
